Awesomeville, online
Same game, same seven steps, built for Zoom and Teams. You send one link. Every team gets their own town. Nothing to install and no accounts to create. $50 CAD, one-time purchase. Ordering opens soon.
Want every student on their own phone with a projector and live scoring? That's Live Rooms.
One link, one class, one hour
Here's exactly how a 60-minute online session runs.
Send the link
Paste the play link into the chat. Everyone opens it in a browser. Each team is dealt a different town, their opportunities, and a bylaw the moment the page loads. There are no codes to hand out.
Send them to breakout rooms
One student per team drives and shares their screen inside the room. The rest talk. They read the town, pick an opportunity, and start filling in the Business Blueprint right on the page.
Broadcast the Wildcard
Use the broadcast message in Zoom or Teams to tell every room at once. Teams hit the Wildcard button together and adapt. This lands harder online than it does in a room, because the whole class reacts at the same second.
Bring everyone back
Back in the main room, each team shares their screen and pitches straight from their Blueprint. The page is the slide, so nobody has to build one.
Reflect
Teams draw an Aha! Moment card and talk through what they'd change. Then they hit Share to drop their finished Blueprint into the chat for you.
Built for how online classes actually go
The Wildcard is the one part that's better online. One broadcast message and every breakout room reacts at the same moment.
Questions before you buy
What do I actually receive?
A private link to the game, plus a one-page facilitator guide for running it on Zoom or Teams. You can use the link for your own classes, session after session. The full licence terms are being finalized (see Licence below).
Does every student need a device?
No. One person per team opens the link and shares their screen inside the breakout room. Everyone else talks, argues, and builds. If a student wants their own copy of the cards, the driver can send them a link that matches.
Can the whole team type at once, like a shared doc?
Not in the Virtual Edition. One student drives while the team talks, which keeps everyone in the conversation rather than in a document. If you want every student on their own phone with a shared team board, a projector view and live scoring, that is Live Rooms. It still needs no accounts, keeps only a first name for the session, and deletes the room after 24 hours.
What if someone's internet drops?
Their work is saved in their own browser as they type, so reopening the link brings it back. If you want a copy that survives anything, hit Share and paste the link somewhere safe.
Is student data collected?
None. Everything runs inside the browser. Nothing is uploaded, there's no account, no database, and no tracking. That's a deliberate design choice, not a limitation I'm working around.
Does it work on school networks?
It's a plain web page with nothing to install, so it usually passes filters that block Google Workspace or app downloads. Nothing needs to be whitelisted beyond the site itself.
Do all the cards work online?
Yes. Eleven Wildcards in the printed deck involve another team, which isn't possible in a breakout room, so the online version replaces them with equivalents built for it: your plans leaking around town, a key feature breaking, a big company offering to buy you out. Same disruption, no walking about.
Can I use it in person too?
Yes. It works just as well on a projector as a shared board while teams play with physical cards.
