What this site collects, what it doesn't, and how to reach me about it.

Who I am
Awesomeville is made and sold by me, Brennan Daley, in Halifax, Nova Scotia. It's a one-person operation. Anything you send through this site comes to me, and you can reach me any time at hello@awesomeville.ca.
What I collect, and how
- Waitlist and contact form. The buttons on the waitlist and contact pages open your own email app with a message already written. Nothing is sent until you press send there, and it goes straight from your email to my inbox. No form service or mailing-list company is involved. The "Copy message" option just copies the text to your clipboard; the site sees none of it.
- Emails you send me. Your address and whatever you write, kept in my mailbox so I can reply.
- Orders. Ordering is not open yet. When it opens, I'll need your name, email and shipping address to send the game, and payments will be handled by a payment processor; I'll name it here and explain what it sees before I take a single order.
What I don't collect
- No analytics and no advertising trackers. There is no Google Analytics, no pixel, no cookie banner because there's nothing to consent to. The theme switch remembers light or dark for the current tab only, in your browser.
- The Virtual Edition and the demo run entirely in your browser. Your team's Business Blueprint, notes and sketches are saved in your own browser's storage on your own device, so they're still there if you come back later. Nothing is sent to me or to anyone else. Clearing your browser data, or the game's own reset option, removes it.
- Live Rooms (the multi-device version, not yet on sale) runs on a separate service with its own plain-language privacy page, linked from the Live Rooms page. In short: no accounts, a first name or nickname for the length of the session, and every room deletes itself about 24 hours after its last activity (or up to 7 days, if the facilitator chooses). After each game I keep an anonymous summary (how many players and teams, which cards were dealt and how far the game got), with no names and nothing anyone typed.
Who else sees anything
- Cloudflare hosts the site (and, once the form service above is live, stores form submissions and passes the email to me). Like any host, it sees the technical details of each request, such as your IP address, to serve the pages and block attacks.
- Google Fonts. The site pages load the Montserrat typeface from Google's servers, so your browser makes a request to Google that includes your IP address. The game files themselves embed the font and make no such request.
- YouTube. A few card pages embed videos through youtube-nocookie.com, which only contacts YouTube once you press play.
I don't sell, rent or share your details with anyone else, and I don't send a newsletter. If you join the waitlist you'll get a handful of emails between now and launch, and you can ask to be removed with a one-line reply.
How long I keep things
I keep waitlist emails until you ask me to remove them, or until ordering has opened and the list is no longer needed. Other emails stay in my mailbox for as long as I might need them to help you.
Seeing or deleting your details
Email hello@awesomeville.ca from the address you used and ask. I'll tell you what I have, correct it, or delete it, and confirm when it's done. There's no form to fill in and no account to log into.
Changes
If how the site works changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top moves.
Questions about any of this? Just ask.
